Renting

How does BAG IT work?

BAG IT allows you to rent luxury bags for a specified period. Simply browse our collection, select your desired bag, choose the rental duration, register or login to your account, and proceed to checkout. Once your order is confirmed, the bag will be delivered to your doorstep.

What do I need to make an account?

To use the rental service, you need to register by creating a personal account. During the registration process, the following documents and information are required:

1. A valid national identity document or passport

2. General customer information (Name and Surname, Date of Birth, Residence etc.)

3. Proof of residence

4. Address to be used for shipping and collection

5. Telephone number, e-mail etc.

6. Credit card information with an expiration date of no less than 4 months from the day of registration

Why do I need to verify my identity and bank information?

Every renter will need to verify their identity and banking due to the high valued items we are renting out. This is a secondary security measure not only to verify your identity and is similar to giving your credit card to a car rental or hotel to keep on file. This will ensure our handbag is safely returned or compensated for if damaged or not returned.

Is there a hold on my account or credit card when I rent?

No, we do not place security holds on your account or credit card.

Does BAG IT have a physical store?

No, BAG IT does not have a physical store. We operate as a fully digital business with an e-commerce platform, allowing you to conveniently explore and rent our authentic designer bags from the comfort of your own space.

How does the rental period work?

The rental period starts on the day you receive your bag and lasts for the duration you choose: 4, 8, 16, or 30 days.

Let’s break it down:

4-Day Rental: If you select this option and receive your bag on Monday, you'll have until Thursday to enjoy it. Thursday would be the day you return it, before midday.

Remember, regardless of the duration you choose, the first day you receive the bag counts as day one, and the last day of the rental period is the day you return it. When selecting the rental dates in the calendar, it will indicate the return date.

When does my rental period start?

Your rental period starts once the item is delivered!

What are change and cancellation policy for rentals?

Change and cancellations can be made 7 days prior to the start date of your booking in order to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours prior to the drop off day will not be refunded.

Can I extend my rental period?

Yes you can! If you wish to extend your rental, please contact us via email. An extension is subject to the availability of the bag and to pre-payment of the additional rental fee applicable for the period of time of the extension.

Delivery and Returns

Can I pick up my rental item if I live local (Milano)?

Yes, you can! You can pick it up at one of our head offices during business hours.

Where does BAG IT ship to?

We ship within the Italian territory and to these selected countries of the European Union:

My country is not listed in your shipping countries, can I request for a rental?

If your country is not listed, it’s due to restrictions of courier. Contact us for a special request, we will try to accommodate.

What if my rental item is lost in transit?

All our items are insured through our company. However, when returning an item it is your responsibility to ensure the parcel was scanned. If it is not scanned then this is not insured and you will be fully liable for the item.

Does my billing address have to match my shipping address?

No, your billing address does not have to be the same as the shipping address. If your order is being shipped to an address other than the billing address on your credit card, we may contact you to verify the alternate address and ascertain the hirer’s identity. Your order will not be processed until payment is confirmed. This helps prevent fraudulent use of your credit card. The shipping address may be different from the home address present on the identity documents; in this case for security reasons the BAG IT team will contact you to confirm the address.

Who pays the shipping fee?

The shipping fee is the responsibility of the renter and varies based on the location. Specific prices can be found at the checkout.

What is the shipping time?

Once BAG IT receives your order, please allow 1 business day for processing and shipping. Once the item has been shipped, you will receive it within:

* 1-2 business days in Italian territory

* 2-5 business days in European Union countries

What happens if my bag doesn’t arrive on time?

If your bag has been shipped on time but encounters unexpected delays with the courier beyond the estimated shipping time provided during checkout, we empathize with any inconvenience caused. Please reach out to the BAG IT team immediately, providing your order details.While we are not responsible for the courier's errors, we value your satisfaction. In such cases, we are committed to offering compensation, which may include an extension of the rental period or a credit for future use. We partner exclusively with top-tier service providers in the industry, such as UPS and DHL, known for their reliability and timely deliveries.Your experience is important to us, and we will do our best to address any challenges that may arise during the shipping process.

How do I return my rental item?

You will package up the item back in its original packaging that it was shipped to you in.

A prepaid label will be provided to you so that you can attach it to the exterior of the box (Make sure to remove the old label)

Drop off the item at the corresponding post office of that label and make sure the post office scans it.

What happens if I am late to return my item?

You will need to action this through requesting an extension which there is a €100 late fee per day. If we do not receive action or notification of this late item your account may be deleted and escalated to litigation.

Damage, Safety & Security

What happens in case of lost/theft?

The customer is liable in the event of theft or loss of a product and therefore you will be liable for the full Retail Price (indicated as RRP on the bag description page) immediately upon notification of the loss of the item.

In case of theft, a copy of the original report made to the Carabinieri is required; to be sent as soon as possible to info@bagitmilano.com. We may be able to provide you with a receipt so that you can work with your insurance company, if applicable.

What happens if I accidentally stain or damage the product?

If the bag is returned in a non re-rentable or sellable condition to our company standards and not easily repairable you are responsible for paying the full retail/market price (RRP) indicated on the listing as per the terms and conditions agreement you signed. Major damage would be: stains, tears, rips, broken parts, gash, any visible wear bigger than the size of a dime.

General damage will require a fee equal to 20% of the original bag price.

Contact us immediately with a photo of the damage. Do not attempt to clean/fix the damage to the bag on your own. We understand that slight wear/staining can be unavoidable. Once we have received the damaged bag, we will do our checks and in the case of repairable damage we will send you a copy of the invoice; that will be at your expense. If any damage occurs that goes beyond normal wear and tear, as determined by BAG IT at its sole discretion, the user will be liable for repair or replacement costs. If the item is damaged beyond repair or has never been returned, the retail price of the bag (whether new or based on its current market value as indicated on the bag description page) less any prepaid security deposits, will be requested from the customer to cover the damage suffered by ReWi. Upon shipment of the product by ReWi, a photo of the bag will be taken and sent to the customer (via email or WhatsApp) before receipt as proof of the status of the pre-rental bag.

Do you offer insurance?

No, we do not offer damage insurance. If you return a bag damaged beyond normal wear and tear, you assume responsibility for the repair or replacement price of the product, as determined at BAG IT discretion, up to the Market Price value to allow for the replacement of damaged products.

How can I be sure about a bag's authenticity?

Authenticity is of utmost importance to us. We guarantee every item we rent out is 100% original or your money back. We expect the same authentic item with the exact serial/date code matching to be returned.

Can I rent my own bags thought BAG IT?

Our collection primarily consists of bags owned by BAG IT. However, we do consider special cases for highly requested bags, provided there is proof of authenticity and they pass our meticulous examination process.
